Hello! My name is Amanda Laverty and I am currently working on getting my teaching certification and graduationg in May 2009. I have a BA in psychology from William Paterson University and I am currently working as a Special Ed. aid in a kindergarten classroom in Fair Lawn.

Nice to meet you and I admire your work with Special Education. Is your classroom designed that you are an "inclusion" teacher--meaning you are in the classroom with a regular teacher and then tailor the lessons for your students within that class OR do you have a self contained classroom with ALL Special Education students?

Kindergarten and Special Education in the same classroom? I give you a lot of credit. You must have a great deal of patience. Who is your principal? The president's wife at my school is an elementary school principal in Fair Lawn. Good luck the rest of the way.
